Overview

Beginning its life as a castle built to house and train the fledgling Watchmen, Mauerinhugeln gathered tradesmen to itself to support its growth. Overtime the castle town became a city, supported primarily by the coin members of The Watchmen brought in from various jobs. The city isn’t poor in and of itself, but many of the resources go to maintaining and training new recruits to The Watchmen. As a result outsiders will find it hard to buy weapons or gather resources beyond the essentials. While the Watchmen control the castle itself, the citizen elect a mayor to represent them and establish order in the city. The two groups don’t always see eye to eye.

Notable Locations

Training Grounds

A public location filled with training equipment and obstacle courses used to train members of The Watchmen. The townsfolk will frequently hold celebrations, festivals, and competitions there to celebrate their history and to maintain a good relationship with their guardians.

Catacombs

The catacombs of Mauerinhugeln are the official burrying place for members of the Watchmen. The most notable members of the Watchmen are kept in a special section and a statue is erected in their honor.

Temples to Systa and Daith

The twin temples to Systa, the Moonlit Dreamer and Daith the Monarch of War stand proud in the city. The two have parallel architecture and are open to the public for worship. Members of the temples work closely with the Watchmen to make sure the religious practices of the members are respected and that The Watchmen have a place of religious education should they seek it out. The temple to Systa in particular sees a fair amount of traffic from members of Societas Magica Historica.
