Elves tend to find comfort in the forests they have historically called home. Having long maintained and passed down the fundamentals of magic, those who eye magic warily will often give elves a wide berth and those who seek magic tend to learn Elvish. Elves also stand out by being obligate-carnivores. This combined with their average lifespan of 5oo years and it is understandable why some legends say they are descended from vampires.
